The 2013 Great Ocean Road Real Estate Marathon Festival returns for a ninth year, promising to create cherished memories for thousands of people.
The festival, on May 18 and 19, has a course suitable for participants of all ages and abilities.
The action kicks off with the 6km Mizuno run on morning of May 18, followed by the 1.5km Kid's Gallop, which was held for the first time last year and welcomed more than 400 enthusiastic competitors. The event - which saw prams, parents, toddlers, teens and grandparents swamp the streets of Apollo Bay -is tipped to grow this year.
Saturday's schedule also features the TAC Wheelchair Athletes' Challenge, with dual Paralympic gold medallist Richard Colman a leading contender for the 14km event from Apollo Bay to Paradise and back. Following the same route will be the competitors in the 14km Geelong Advertiser run.
Sunday consists of the popular Fagg's Mitre 10 Half Marathon and the headline event, the Great Ocean Road Real Estate Marathon.
